Michelle brings both business and legal experience on all aspects of commercial real estate including acquisitions and dispositions, the structuring of complex corporate and commercial real estate lending, licensing and regulatory matters for manufactured housing, hospitality transactions, retail, office and industrial leasing, build-to-suit and large-scale development and land use transactions. She serves as counsel to local and national developers of major retail, office, hotel and mixed-use properties in all aspects of the acquisition, financing, development and disposition process, as well as counseling landlords and tenants with respect to office, retail and build-to-suit ground lease transactions.
Michelle has been involved in the commercial real estate industry since the early 1990’s, bringing a business practicality to her practice. Prior to practicing law, Michelle worked for a leading real estate investment company in managing private and public property equity investments and a nationally recognized REIT that provides franchise financing. Michelle continues to work in the financial industry and represents national, regional and institutional banks and private equity investors and borrowers in the origination, restructuring and workout of complex financial transactions, which involve diverse real estate projects including boutique and national hotels, condominium developments, large-scale mixed-use developments, multi-family housing, and office, retail and industrial properties.
